Taking the guesswork out of cooking

The Yummly Smart Thermometer gives you the ability to remotely monitor internal meat temperatures, ensuring the perfect results every time. Through concept to completion, ANML was a key player in designing the total cutomer experience from the app, to product, to packaging, and everything in between.

Assisted Cooking

Every cut of meat is different, and people have different tastes. We designed a user friendly interface that visually guides people step by step through the entire process, making it easy to achieve perfect results.

Visual Doneness

Everyone has their own definition of medium rare. For ideal cooking results, we created the Visual Doneness Selector, guiding consumers to choose how they would like their meat cooked with real life examples. Unique to Yummly, this feature gives consumers a clear reference for how their meat should look at each stage of cooking.

Microinteractions play a powerful role in the experience. ANML created thoughtful alerts that allow users to multitask, with the peace of mind of knowing what's happening at any time, and when to take action.

Translating an interface language to print

We channeled our team's diverse skillset to expand our digital design language to the packaging. From the thermometer dock to the box design, ANML designed the packaging from the inside out to to look and feel premium.

Selling the product

The team worked hard to clearly communicate the advantages of the Yummly Smart Thermometer over its competitors. We blend mouth watering visuals with marketing finesse to illustrate its irresistible benefits.

"ANML partnered with Yummly across the design lifecycle of the Yummly Smart Thermometer. From early concept explorations to physical packaging, in-app experiences, and marketing design, ANML delivers with quality, care, and proactively works to help us push the design envelope."
